From Prized Cattle to Cherished Serenity
The Family of Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen have left Morris County with a legacy of cherished gems.
Peter H.B. Frelinghuysen, grandfather of Congressman Frelinghuysen, bought farm property back in 1914. This farm consisted both of Dairy Cattle and Greenhouses. Whippany River Farm produced the finest herds of Jersey dairy cattle in the U.S.A. The Dairy Cattle line were National Champions.
The gems of the past that we cherish today, the farm gave us the Morris Museum, municipal playgrounds, Frelinghuysen Park and the Frelinghuysen Arboretum!
