The Tyrannosaurus Rex; also known as, Tyrant Lizard King, was a 40 foot long predator that roamed the forested valley’s of Western North America. The Tyrannosaurus Rex existed during the Cretaceous period. This animal is said to have gone extinct after a giant asteroid slammed into the Earth 66 million years ago.
The mouth of an adult Tyrannosaurus Rex is about 60 inches long. The bite is said to be the strongest of any land animal.
The skull of a T Rex’s head weighs about 600 pounds. The size of the head leads scientists to believe that the Tyrannosaurus was one of the most intelligent of the dinosaurs. The fossils studied show that it’s brain was twice the size of any other dinosaur.

The most complete fossil uncovered of a Tyrannosaurus Rex was in the 1980s. a female dinosaur was discovered in South Dakota. She was 42 feet from tail to head and stood 13 feet high. She is estimated to have weighed 18,000 pounds.
