Majestic Pair of Pair of Basil Matthews – Flower Cheetahs @ Time’s Tin Cup !

There are less than 6,700 cheetahs left in the wild. These majestic cats are the fastest land mammal in the world. Their acceleration speed would leave most automobiles in the dust with the ability to go from 0 to 60 in only 3 seconds.

Have you ever seen one up close? Our own Turtle Back Zoo in Essex County received their first cheetah that made the zoo her home in 2019. Her name is Nandi.

Nandi has had a lot of love and support adjusting to her home at Turtle Back Zoo from her best friend, Bowie.

Bowie is a Yellow Labrador and is just a few weeks younger than Nandi. They were raised together. Bowie gives Nandi the confidence needed to relax in her environment. She always has Bowie to turn to in new situations. Bowie, always cool as a cucumber, ensures Nandi that there is nothing to feel nervous about. Wherever Nandi goes, Bowie comes along too so that she always feels comfortable.
