The Gobblers

By Lisa Ostella on November 21, 2021November 12, 2025
Wild Turkey Pitcher @ Time’s Tin Cup !

Only male turkeys gobble. It is this gobble sound they use to attract female turkeys; also known as, hens.

In the Mayan religion, turkeys were portrayed as godlike figures. Turkeys were thought to have powers. Turkeys were owned by the rich and powerful as a status symbol among the Mayan people.
