The 200th anniversary of the U.S. Flag is also known as the 200th anniversary of the Star-Spangled Banner. It is the celebration of Francis Scott Key’s witness to the American Flag that was still flying over Fort McHenry on September 14, 1814.
It is also the 200th anniversary of the Flag Act of 1818. This Act set the design of the American Flag with 13 stripes and a star representing each state.
This U.S. Flag was the actual commemorated flag that flew over the U.S. Capitol June 14, 1977 and is available at Time’s Tin Cup !
