Rare and Unique Cornucopia Carousel Horse available @ Time’s Tin Cup !

For many, the Cornucopia Horn is associated with Thanksgiving and harvest seasons. We see the Cornucopia as a Horn overflowing with flowers, fruits, nuts and grains.

The Cornucopia actually has roots in Greek Mythology. In the legends, the Cornucopia began as a magical animal’s horn!

The Horn of Plenty, was originally broken of the head of an enchanted she-goat by the Greek God Zeus when he was an infant. The infant Zeus was hidden away from his father, the titan Cronos , in a cave on the Isle of Crete. The infant, Zeus, was cared for by Amalthea, a naiad or she-goat.

While baby Zeus was suckling at the teat of Amalthea, he grabbed and broke off her horn. The broken horn poured forth a never ending supply of nourishment. This is why the horn of plenty, Cornucopia, became the symbol of nourishment.
