Classic Raggedy Ann Doll Available @ Time’s Tin Cup !
The classic Raggedy Ann doll is a timeless toy of history. The doll is recognizable by her bright red yarn hair, triangle nose, and button eyes.
The doll was created in 1915 by American writer and illustrator Johnny Gruelle. He had found an old, faceless rag doll in his mother’s attic. He drew a smiling face on it and gave it to his daughter, Marcella.
Marcella tragically passed away. In memoriam, Gruelle published the book Raggedy Ann Stories in 1918. The books and Raggedy Ann dolls were launched and sold.
