The legends of Robin Hood is based on a heroic outlaw originating from English folklore. His story has been retold many times in literature, theatre, and cinema. Based on legends, he was a highly skilled archer and swordsman. In some versions, he is depicted as being from noble birth, and in other versions he is sometimes depicted as having fought in the Crusades before returning to England to find his lands taken by the Sheriff.
