By Lisa Ostella on June 12, 2024June 12, 2024

Atlantic City Steel Pier Company #NewJersey Proud of a Great History! @ Time’s Tin Cup !

The Atlantic City Steel Pier was built in 1898. This pier has been the cutting edge of entertainment. This pier has had a phenomenal venue of sharpshooters, diving horses, Annie Oakley, Frank Sinatra and even the Beatles. The board game, Monopoly was even designed around the Atlantic City Steel Pier!

On August 30, 1964, the Beatles first visit to #NewJersey was a performance at the Atlantic City Steel Pier’s Convention Hall in Atlantic City.

The Atlantic City Steel Pier became to be known as “A City at Sea,” “The Showplace of the Nation,” and “A Vacation in Itself” among other descriptions of this magical place. The Atlantic City Steel Pier has been the greatest mecca of entertainment for decades.

They had stayed at the Lafayette Hotel the night before. At 2:15pm on the day of the show they left in the back of a fish truck, and a short distance from the Atlantic City Convention Hall they switched to their waiting tour bus. After the show The Beatles left the venue in a laundry truck, as their limousine was too conspicuous.
