Blue Wheaton Glass Company Octagonal Bottle

By iDenville on May 5, 2026May 6, 2026

Wheaton, New Jersey – Blue Glass Bottle available @ Time’s Tin Cup !

T.C. Wheaton Co., was a glass manufacturer in Millville, NJ founded by Theodore Wheaton. The industry was known for creating heritage glass, commemorative decanters, flasks, pharmaceutical and medicine bottles.

The unique craftsmanship of these bottles have actually produced an entire cultural following of artists, a museum and collectors.

This cultural following of this glass art actually created a legend of the existence of “Wheaton, NJ”. There was never a town in New Jersey named Wheaton. The Wheaton Glass factories did have a ‘Wheaton Village’ that was founded in Millville, New Jersey. Despite many of the bottles being stamped as originating in Wheaton, NJ, the existence is legend.

The legend of Wheaton, NJ has even carried over to Marvel Comics. Wheaton, NJ is the fictional town of the first S.H.I.E.L.D. facility established after World War II that housed the headquarters and ammunition bunker for the Avengers.

🚨 according to a source close to the cast and crew, the “avengercon” that Kamala Khan attends in the first episode of the series will take place at Camp Lehigh from THE FIRST AVENGER, a fictional army base in Wheaton, NJ. pic.twitter.com/CWJG7PHfvn
