The Dragon’s Gate

I love dragons. They have the most varied legends. Ever hear of the legend of where dragons come from? It is a very old legend; but sweet and full of meaning.

Koi fish, at their end of their lives make a long final journey. They swim upstream to find The Dragon’s Gate; which is a very high waterfall. The koi fish must show strength and perseverance to complete their journey and swim up the waterfall.

Cresting the top of the waterfall, the courageous koi fish are awarded with a transformation to a golden dragon. The skies above the waterfall are traversed with dragon fish that seek pearls of wisdom.

Golden dragons are representative of this legend. The demitasse tea cups present a dragon of strength and wisdom.
