Cupid, a Mischievous God of Love

Cupid was known to the Greeks as Eros, the god of love.

He toyed with the emotions of both gods and humans with golden arrows that would arouse desire and leadened arrows that would ignite aversion.

In the 19th Century Eros was popularized as the cherub, Cupid and trended on the Valentine’s Day holiday.
