From hieroglyphs to motion pictures. Visual art has captured simulations that communicate ideas, stories perceptions, feelings, and beauty.

Vintage cameras are a piece of this history. They highlight the evolution of this technology from the magic lantern to sound on film.

Staff with film equipment and tape reels in the Audio Visual Services Department at the Morris County Library. This whole rig can fit in your pocket now, like Time’s Tin Cup‘s Zoom 8 EE.

Times Tin Cup carries many pieces of this history. Featured here, is the KOPIL ‘Zoom 8 EE’ 8mm Cine/Movie Camera. Manufactured in Japan by the Kobayashi Seiki Seisakujo Company, fro, 1962.
