Joe Camel Beer Cozies @ Time’s Tin Cup !

Camel Cigarettes are the oldest brand of cigarettes in the U.S. They were first released by R.J. Reynolds in 1913. The camel theme was chosen based off of the use of Turkish tobacco. Camels were associated with the Turkish culture.

The camel featured on the original cigarette packages was based off of Old Joe the Camel from Barnum & Bailey Circus. The success of the Camel brand launched a 60 year marketing campaign based off of Joe Camel.
