Miniature Stoneware Jug from Kraus & Co.

Brothers, Samuel and Charles Kraus, were jewish immigrants from Bavaria who migrated to Wheeling, West Virginia.

They opened their liquor trade company in 1865.

Their liquors were bottled onsite in ceramic jugs with the Kraus name stenciled in cobalt. This miniature jug at TimesTinCup.com is an actual miniature sampler jug that was used to promote their whiskey for trade.
