My daughter was greatly influenced by a story based on Michaelangelo‘s art. A book by E.L. Konigsburg, From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, inspired her so much, it affected her inspirations.
My daughter wanted adventures like the character Claudia Kincaid. She learned of an scholarly program in her middle school that would give her an opportunity to visit Italy and the Vatican. She set goals to qualify for the chance to go onto a European Adventure to see these great pieces of art, and achieved it:
She got to visit the Vatican, see the Michaelangelo’s David in person, view the Sistine Chapel; as well as the Pieta. This is all directly influenced by the book by E.L. Konigsburg. All inspired by the works of Michaelangelo‘s art. She entered @MorrisKnollsHS as an Ambassador of the Diocese after achieving this goal all from the influence of Michaelangelo‘s art from the writings of E.L. Konigsburg.
