The Pure Love of Swans
Swans are a symbol of pure love. They represent grace, beauty, passion and protection.
In Hinduism, they represent the connection between the material world and the spiritual world. Since swans mate for life, they also symbolize fidelity and longevity.
In Roman mythology, the swan symbol is connected to Aphrodite’s beauty as well as with Apollo – the God of poetry, prophecy, and music.
A Greek fable tells about the god, Zeus takes the form of a swan to seduce Leda.
Since Swans never dive below water; sailors saw them as a talesman that would ward off shipwrecks.
