In 1958, the world was introduced to a lovable stuffed bear, wearing a floppy hat, symbolically left at the Paddington Train Station in London with a note around his neck that read, “Please look after this bear. Thank you.” Author, Michael Bond.

The chilling symbolism of this bear and his introduction was in reference to the Jewish refugee children that were put on trains during evacuations with notes on their persons in hopes of their survival.

Evacuated children to ensure their survival. Sent to live with strangers. 9/1/1939, WW2

To this day, the stories of the beloved Paddington Bear has been translated into 30 languages across 70 different book titles, television shows and movies have been made about this enduring fictional character.
